Kindness Challenge

Well, we’ve definitely Started the Happiness here with a huge number of people all joining the movement and being part of the community!

Last week we learned about the Power of a Smile and how it affects your attractiveness, your relationships, your mood, how a smile can enhance your business and career and also how you can use it to change the world.

We’ve heard from 27 experts on how they plan to start happiness in their own lives, and we’ve now uncovered 43 habits that make people super-happy. This community is all about learning and having some fun, but it’s time we up the game a little bit and now literally start the happiness in the world.

The Start of Happiness is also about taking action.

The Start of Happiness is not just about finding happiness in your own life, but it is also about changing the world and impacting the lives of others in a positive way. It’s about living a successful and happy life and also spreading the happiness to anyone and everyone that you come in contact with. The world would be an absolutely-amazing place if everyone woke up super-excited and happy about what they were going to be doing that day. You CAN make a difference not only in your own life, but also in the lives of others.

Other benefits?

  1. Happiness leads to positive thinking and clarity of mind.
  2. Positive thinking and clarity of mind lead to higher performance.
  3. Higher performance leads to greater success in life.
  4. Greater success in life leads to bigger rewards.
  5. Bigger rewards lead to enhanced and sustained happiness.

Taking action can not only change the world, but it can also change your life!

Some of you have already taken action and made a difference in MY life. I am so grateful for some of the comments that people have been sharing with me over the past few weeks. Before we get into the action steps below, I wanted to share with you some of the comments that I have recieved… these are the kinds of things that make a difference in peoples’ lives! And you definitely have been making a difference in mine!

“I went on your website and it’s a great cause. Keep spreading positivity. The world needs it!” – Zorro

“When I saw the name of your website The Start of Happiness, I thought this is exactly what I am looking for!  There is so much great information, you did a wonderful job with your website!   Your articles are well written and easy to understand and I love that you have included the exercises, they are extremely helpful!” – Robin, California

“I stumbled upon your website and was intrigued by what you have started – a business focusing on being happy!  When our media is full of the bad and sad side of life, it’s refreshing to be reminded that a simple smile can be all we need to do to brighten someone’s day!” – Megan

“I’m planning to be nice to everyone today… starting NOW. Even to the most annoying ones!” – Jenny

“Thanks for starting this cool movement! I love how it coincides with the start of spring. I went through several difficult life challenges the past 2 years and I hope this movement will help me focus on embracing my new life, one where I learn to focus on the present and dance in the rain instead of waiting for rainy days to pass.” – Anonymous, Singapore

“I consider myself a pretty positive person in general, and your website seemed like a good resource for interesting articles.  In fact, I really enjoyed reading the article on asking people what they would do to make themselves more happy!  Keep up the good work.” – Lisa, Canada

“Love that you are called The Start of Happiness – just like ‘learning,’ happiness is something to be always aspiring and working towards rather than an endpoint outcome.
Love that you are talking about ‘tools’ – things, by definition, that we use to make something or fix something with.
Love that you are talking about ‘changing the world one smile at a time‘ – incremental revolution fuelled by inclusion, involvement and winning hearts an minds (rather than provocation and outrage).” – Mark, London

“Being associated with people who want joy in their lives is good. I found real joy/peace/happiness-call it what you will when I re-discovered my art.  It’s what, in my heart I want to be doing.  So the journey re-commences.” – Lynn, England

“Just wanted to drop in and say hello…and that you are making a massive difference to me and my thoughts.” – Amolok, London

“I shared your article that featured Deck-a-duck the other day and it was such a sick day filled with pretty awesome strangers and mates I thought anyone who is going to use that to describe happiness is on the right path. Either way I think you are onto something here and it will be good to be a part of it. ” – Tim, Australia

“I joined ‘The Start of Happiness’ in order to get the most out of life. I would love to be truly happy in what I do, and to find my passion in  life. Looks like a great resource and can’t wait to find out more!” – Ellen, Australia

“My vision is to go around the world to collect stories of simple happiness. Am working towards it, and I truly think its possible. Thanks for your inspiring post on 27 Experts and their definition of happiness!” – Tan, Malaysia

“Just looking at the colours on your website made me smile :)” – Lynn
