Coaching

During last week’s post I mentioned that I had another special launch for this week. Well, today I’m excited to bring this to you!

But before we get onto that, I know some of you are interested to know how my launch week went for my new business (if you’re not, feel free to skip over this section!).

Gradrecruit Launch Week Wrap-Up.

Last week I announced the launch of my new business – Gradrecruit. Gradrecruit is an online Graduate Careers Portal that provides up-to-date and relevant career advice for graduates looking to launch their career. At Gradrecruit, we also train and work with employers to develop their social recruiting strategy (using social media to recruit talent).

Well, it hasn’t even been a full week yet (it’s been 6 days), but so far things are looking pretty good.

I managed to achieve the following for the Graduate Careers Portal (www.gradrecruit.com.au) which is in-line with targets:

  • Unique Visitors: 1,043
  • Pageviews: 4,204
  • Facebook Fans: 267
  • Twitter Followers: 173
  • Subscribers: 36

We’ve also had 50% of those unique visitors return.

6 days into it I feel this is a great start and definitely something I can take to employers in future meetings to showcase what can be done with social media.

I won’t go into more detail on it now, but I might refer back to Gradrecruit at different stages in the future and use it as a bit of a case-study for those of you looking to launch a business, develop a blog or do some online marketing.

Today’s Exciting Announcement…!

So now we come to today’s launch and I’m seriously excited about this.

This is something that I’ve wanted to do ever since starting The Start of Happiness a year ago and a key reason for this site actually existing.

I feel that now is an appropriate time to launch this, given we have our 1st birthday this week (this Sunday, in fact!)

The Start of Happiness was first created for me to be able to develop a resource of tools to call upon when coaching clients. It ended up being so much more than that. It ended up being a portal to be able to communicate with people all over the world.

The connections I’ve made and the people that make this community are what it’s all about. It’s extremely humbling to know that there are people all over the world that read what I have to say and use the tools that are provided here.

For this, I can’t thank you enough.

And today, I want to open another door to The Start of Happiness community.

Although I’ve done a lot of coaching in the ‘real-world’, more and more as The Start of Happiness has expanded I have found myself in situations using some of these techniques in the virtual or ‘online world’.

I’ve loved being able to provide this and I figured that there are probably more people in the community that would want this but just haven’t asked for it.

So today I’m making it official and launching my own suite of online coaching packages!

Coaching

Coaching… Why You Need It

What I find REALLY fascinating in the coaching world is that so many people don’t realise the benefits of having a coach.

For some reason, everyone finds having a personal trainer useful, yet when it comes to having a coach for other areas of life they feel they can go without one.

A coach is exactly like a personal trainer. But instead of just focusing on health and fitness it’s about focusing on the things that matter most to you in your life, be it your relationships, your career, your business or perhaps it is even your health and wellbeing. It’s about reaching the next level, stretching your mind, enhancing your confidence and enabling you to be more successful, happy and fulfilled in life.

Who wouldn’t want this?

Big business is now making use of coaching at all levels in the organisation. Now, most executives in large corporations have executive coaches to help them lead better. Small business owners are making use of coaches to help them get through the early years and ensure success. And yes, of course we have even heard of relationship coaches.

Coaching is a necessary ingredient for expediting the process of success. Success can come without coaching, but great coaches and exponentially increase the rate in which you attain that success, or the level of success that you achieve.

7 Reasons Why You Need a Coach

Without going into specific details on each, here are my top 7 reasons for why you need a coach (in fact, I think this might make for a good article, but I’ll go into more details of each of these at a later date):

  1. Accountability
  2. Focus
  3. Motivation
  4. Access to resources
  5. A different perspective
  6. Challenge yourself
  7. A sounding board

My Coaching Packages

For me, I want to now expand my services to The Start of Happiness community and help others more specifically outside of Australia. I’m excited to announce my coaching packages and I think there truly is something for everyone. I’m also doing these at fantastic rates, primarily because I can now do most of this from the comfort of my own home.

However, I am keeping my coaching clients number VERY restricted to ensure I can dedicate quality time to each and every individual.

You can check out my coaching packages here.

I won’t go into too much more detail here, with the exception of saying that there are three different coaching options:

1)      E-Coaching (great for those that prefer to do coaching remotely or who are on a budget)

2)      Premiere 1-on-1 Coaching (face-to-face coaching over Skype or in person)

3)      20-Day Launch-Pad (an exciting new group-coaching course that will require full commitment for 4 weeks. This is the perfect launch-pad to kick-start your life, full of momentum in the direction you desire with ongoing group support).

The 20-day launch-pad will be kicking off on the 9th September!

For full details on each of these, check out my new coaching page.

As I’m limiting the numbers I’m expecting these to fill quite fast. So if you’re interested, please get in early or get in contact with me if you have any questions.

Thanks again for making the first year of The Start of Happiness extremely special. I hope I have been able to give back to you a great experience and plenty of opportunity for learning.

Here’s to another amazing year!
